26 Willkie lawyers have been named to the inaugural Pro Bono Recognition List of England & Wales for their commitment to pro bono service and work to ensure access to justice.
The Pro Bono Recognition List was recently established by the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee of England and Wales to honor barristers and solicitors who devoted 25 or more hours to pro bono legal assistance in the previous calendar year.
The Lady Chief Justice, Dame Sue Carr, the Head of the Judiciary of England and Wales and the President of the Courts of England and Wales, commended the honorees for their extensive pro bono contributions. “The judiciary sees first-hand how pro bono advice and representation helps those who might not otherwise receive legal assistance,” the Lady Chief Justice said. “I hope that recognition on the List encourages the legal profession to continue its commitment to providing pro bono help to those in need.”
