2023 witnessed the adoption of a significant number of new and amended rules by the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) that will have to be implemented during 2024 (and beyond), as well as the proposal of various SEC rules and other U.S. regulatory initiatives, all of which may impact registered investment companies (“Registered Funds”), business development companies (“BDCs”), and their investment advisers.
