Alex Weingarten, managing partner of Willkie’s Los Angeles office and Chair of the firm’s Entertainment Litigation Practice, has been shortlisted for “Entertainment Litigator of the Year” at the upcoming Benchmark Litigation US Awards 2025.
Alex is widely recognized as one of the entertainment industry’s top litigators and trial attorneys. His recent accomplishments include wins on behalf of the producers of global hit series The Chosen in a high-profile breach of contract suit and Selena Gomez in a closely watched litigation against a mobile game developer that used her likeness without permission.
Alex is a leading commercial trial lawyer who represents clients in all facets of entertainment, probate and business litigation. In addition to being shortlisted for the second year in a row for “Entertainment Litigator of the Year” by Benchmark Litigation, Alex has recently been recognized as a market leader by Billboard, Daily Journal and Los Angeles Business Journal.
The honorees of the Benchmark Litigation US Awards 2025 will be recognized at an event in New York City in March.
