Jared Bartie, Chair of Willkie’s Sports Transactions Practice, has been honored with Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award for his leadership and commitment to excellence in the legal profession.
Jared is widely recognized as one of the leading sports and esports lawyers nationwide. A sports industry veteran, he represents domestic and international clients on an array of complex matters, including professional sports team investments, stadium and arena transactions, facility naming rights and sponsorship transactions, and complex media rights agreements.
Jared is also a leader in the legal community and a mentor to up-and-coming attorneys, and is deeply committed to enhancing educational opportunities in the law. He was a founding member of the Northwester Pritzker School of Law’s African American History and Culture Endowed Scholarship and a founding donor of the Bartie-Greer Opportunity Scholarship. Jared serves as Chair of the school’s Law Board and Co-Chair of the Sports Division of the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association, among other positions, and was previously Presidential Appointee to the Executive Committee of the United States Tennis Association.
