Willkie partners Joe Kaczorowski and Ray LaSoya have been named to the 2024 “Leaders of Influence: Private Equity, Investors & Advisors” by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

 

The annual series recognizes the notable professionals and thought leaders across the private equity space in Los Angeles. This is the second year in a row that Joe and Ray were selected among the region’s leading private equity dealmakers. The publication noted their work advising some of the city’s top private equity sponsors on significant transactions, including Monogram Capital Partners in its recent acquisition of a majority stake in Tru Fragrance & Beauty.

 

Joe Kaczorowski counsels private equity and venture capital funds and their portfolio companies, as well as strategic acquirers and operating companies, on mergers and acquisitions, growth equity and venture capital transactions, as well as day-to-day general corporate needs. LABJ noted his previous role as Senior Vice President, Assistant General Counsel of Platinum Equity.

 

Ray LaSoya is a leading deal lawyer with diverse experience guiding private equity investors and their portfolio companies, as well as public and private companies, in complex transactions and operational matters. The publication noted that Ray has decades of experience advising premier private equity firms on investments across an array of industries including communications, media, entertainment, technology, retail, legal services, financial services and manufacturing.
