Willkie has been shortlisted in the “Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership” category for the LawWorks 2023 UK Pro Bono Awards, in recognition of Willkie’s work on the Green Tech Legal Collaborative (GTLC) in partnership with Bloomberg L.P. and other firms. GTLC is in its third year of providing pro bono legal support for Greentech start-ups from Imperial College’s Enterprise Lab in the early stages of their development.
The aim of the program is to help speed up the delivery to market of new ideas and technology that could have a positive impact on issues such as climate change and protection of the environment.
Willkie’s work on this project was previously shortlisted for LawWorks “Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership” award in 2021.
Working in England and Wales, LawWorks is a charity that promotes, supports and facilitates pro bono legal services that extend access to the law for individuals and communities in need and the organizations that assist them. The LawWorks 2023 UK Pro Bono Awards celebrate achievement in legal pro bono work, undertaken by organizations and individuals, and the commitment of the legal sector in enabling access to justice.
The awards ceremony will take place on December 5, 2023.
