Eduardo Santacana, a partner in Willkie’s Litigation Department in San Francisco, has been profiled among The Recorder’s 2023 “Lawyers on the Fast Track,” an annual award recognizing the standout legal leaders in California under age 40.
The Recorder recognized Eduardo’s achievements in high-stakes litigation for leading technology companies, as well as his civic leadership, pro bono service and impact as a mentor to up-and-coming lawyers.
In the Q&A profile, Eduardo stressed the opportunities the law holds for young attorneys, especially for those willing to take on challenges and demonstrate the full extent of their abilities. In his first year as a lawyer, he learned to embrace every chance to contribute at a high level.
“So when there is an opportunity, I never say to myself that I’m not ready, or that I can’t, or that someone else could do it better,” Eduardo told The Recorder. “I learned to say instead that no matter the challenge, if my client or my supervisor is willing to trust me with it, then I can and will rise to it.”
Eduardo is a leading litigator who regularly represents public entities and major technology companies in complex commercial disputes, including consumer class actions and contract disputes, as well as intellectual property litigation.
The Recorder recognized Eduardo as a next-generation star as part of the California Legal Awards, which, held on November 2, celebrated the achievements of the attorneys, law firms and companies at the forefront of the technology industry.
