Michele Mulrooney, Chair of Willkie’s Private Clients Group in Los Angeles, has been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “2023 Troubleshooters” as one of the entertainment industry’s top trusts and estates lawyers.
The publication recognized Michele among the “25 attorneys the entertainment elite have on speed dial for death, divorce and other disasters.” Moreover, she was among the seven honorees identified as Hollywood’s go-to trusts and estates attorneys.
Michele focuses her practice on estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and has extensive experience in protecting multi-generational wealth, establishing and advising private foundations, conservatorships and guardianships, and other areas of trusts and estates law.
“The mega-wealthy flock to Mulrooney because of her grasp of the ins and outs of entertainment deals involving matters like profit participation, royalties and masters,” The Hollywood Reporter noted.
The publication also highlighted Michele’s work advising high-net-worth clients on ways to take advantage of high tax exemption amounts for gifts to trusts, and her experience with pre-immigration tax strategies for clients who are looking to maximize benefits before becoming U.S. citizens.
