Partners Maria-Leticia Ossa Daza and Jorge Kamine have been named to “Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers” of 2023 by Latinvex. The annual series recognizes attorneys from international law firms who are at the forefront of the legal industry in Latin America.
Maria-Leticia, a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department and Chair of Willkie’s Latin America Practice, was honored in the area of Corporate/M&A, a distinction she has consistently received since 2014.
Latinvex highlighted Maria-Leticia’s recent representation of Odinsa S.A., a Colombian transportation infrastructure company owned by Grupo Argos, in the respective sales of a 50% stake in certain of its airport concessions and toll road assets to affiliates of Macquarie Asset Management. The publication also noted her work advising a joint venture of sponsors in the development of Puerto Antioquia, a greenfield multipurpose port facility in Colombia.
Jorge, a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department, Co-Chair of Willkie’s Project Finance Practice Group and a member of the Latin America Practice, was recognized in the Energy category, an accolade he has received numerous times.
Latinvex also highlighted his work advising Odinsa S.A. on its transportation infrastructure partnership with Macquarie Asset Management and the recent expansion of the platform into airport concessions. In addition, it noted his representation of STOA in its acquisition of a minority stake in Linha Uni, the project company carrying out the approximately €2.3 billion São Paulo Metro Line 6 concession contract.
