Partner Anne Barrett has been named among the finalists for “Young Lawyer of the Year – Corporate” at The American Lawyer 2023 Industry Awards.
She is one of seven attorneys under the age of 40 recognized as finalists for their excellence in corporate transactions and leadership in the law. The finalists will be honored at an event in New York City on November 15, when the award winners will also be announced.
Anne is key member of Willkie’s Capital Markets Practice and has advised on numerous transactions at the forefront of the market in recent years. Her highlights include serving as financing counsel to Platinum Equity on its $4.5 billion acquisition of McGraw Hill, where she co-led the bond offering for the deal. She also advised Platinum Equity in its $2 billion senior secured notes offering in connection with its acquisition of Ingram Micro Inc.
Anne is also a member of Willkie’s Insurance Transactional and Regulatory Practice, where she focuses on advising the leading insurance companies, reinsurers, and insurance intermediaries on various types of notes offerings, among other sophisticated transactions and corporate governance issues.
