Willkie was recognized for its role in three “Deals of the Year” at the IJGlobal Awards 2022, which honor the year’s top transactions and organizations across the international infrastructure and energy sectors.
The firm was honored for its work in connection with financing for Advanced Clean Energy Storage Joint Venture’s (ACES Delta) construction of the world’s largest green hydrogen platform, which was named “Deal of the Year for Oil & Gas – Hydrogen – North America.” Willkie advised Haddington Ventures on the creation of the $650 million equity syndication program for projects developed by ACES Delta, a joint venture between Mitsubishi Power Americas and Magnum Development, a portfolio company of Haddington Ventures. The joint venture is developing the landmark green hydrogen storage hub near Delta, Utah.
IJGlobal also recognized Willkie for its work on the CEGELOG public-private partnership in France, which was named “PPP Deal of the Year – Europe.” The firm advised the lenders selected by a consortium formed by Eiffage and Arcade VYV in connection with the financing of the multibillion-euro CEGELOG concession agreement for the management of state-owned housing for France’s Armed Forces.
In addition, Willkie advised on the São Paulo Metro Line 6 project – the largest public-private infrastructure project under construction in Latin America – which IJGlobal named “Deal of the Year for Transport - Latin America.” Willkie advised STOA Infra & Energy on its acquisition of an equity stake in the project company that is carrying out the Line 6 concession contract.
