Partners Eric Bakewell and Kathy Wunderli have been named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 “Leaders of Influence: Thriving in Their 40s.” The list recognizes the top professionals in their 40s who are making an impact in their respective fields and on the Los Angeles community.
Eric Bakewell, a partner in Willkie’s Litigation Department, was recognized as a leading commercial litigator with a diverse client base that includes entertainment and technology companies, financial institutions, entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations. The publication highlighted his successful representation of Skidata and Sentry Control Systems in a privacy class action, and his work in a dispute relating to a family trust established by a California real estate magnate.
Kathy Wunderli, a partner in the Private Clients Group, was recognized for providing “best-in-class legal services” to high-net-worth families and individuals, closely held business owners, business managers and nonprofits in a wide range of tax matters, including estate planning, probate and trust administration, and pre-marital, post-marital, and transmutation agreements. The publication also noted her work advising public charities and private foundations regarding the formation and maintenance of tax-exempt status.
