Partner Craig C. Martin, Chairman, Midwest, has been named to the Crain’s Chicago Business “Who’s Who 2023” as one of the city’s foremost lawyers and civic leaders.
Craig was recognized among the “leaders making a difference in every corner of Chicago’s business, civic, cultural and philanthropic worlds.” He is one of only 16 honorees in the legal industry section of the “Who’s Who” guide.
Craig is widely recognized as one of the top trial lawyers in the country and counsel to marquee clients, including major Chicago companies and some of the nation’s most influential families. He led the opening of Willkie’s Chicago office in March 2020 with five other prominent lawyers, and quickly established it at the forefront of the market, helping to build a diverse team of more than 70 attorneys.
His leadership not only promotes excellence in the law but also a culture of civic engagement and a commitment to pro bono service. Crain’s noted Craig’s involvement on the boards of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, the Urban League of Chicago and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
