Alex was recognized once more among the region’s 500 most influential business leaders.
Alex Weingarten, Managing Partner of Willkie’s Los Angeles Office and Chair of the Firm’s Entertainment Litigation Practice, has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “LA500 2022,” a list of the most influential leaders and executives in Los Angeles.
The publication recognized Alex as a top litigator for the entertainment industry and his record of success in “bet the company” cases and high-profile trials – and noted his inclusion on the LA500 for the fourth year in a row. It highlighted the judgment he obtained for an actor, including punitive damages, attorneys’ fees and interest, against a former assistant who stole money and his identity, as well as his work representing an actress in claims of breach of fiduciary against her mother/manager.
The accolade further establishes Alex as one of the entertainment industry’s foremost trial attorneys and as a leader in the broader business community. His other recent honors include being named to Variety’s “Legal Impact Report 2022,” the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Top 100 Lawyers 2022” and Billboard’s 2022 “Top Music Lawyers List.”
Alex and the other LA500 honorees will be recognized at an awards event in Los Angeles.
