Latinvex again recognized Maria-Leticia and Jorge among the leading deal lawyers in the Latin America market.
Partners Maria-Leticia Ossa Daza and Jorge Kamine have been named to “Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers” of 2022 by Latinvex. The annual series recognizes attorneys from international law firms who are at the forefront of the legal industry in Latin America.
Maria-Leticia, a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department and Chair of Willkie’s Latin America Practice, was honored in the area of Corporate/M&A, a distinction she has consistently received since 2014.
Latinvex noted Maria-Leticia’s recent work advising Union Square Ventures in its investment in ADDI, a digital consumer lending platform based in Bogota and São Paulo; Accel in its investment in Flink, Mexico’s leading app-based consumer trading platform; and stakeholders in the chapter 11 restructuring of LATAM Airlines.
Jorge, a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department, Co-Chair of Willkie’s Project Finance Practice Group and a member of the Latin America Practice, was recognized in the Energy and Project Finance categories, an accolade he has also received numerous times.
The publication noted Jorge’s recent work advising STOA on its investment in Concessionária Linha Universidade S.A (Linha Uni), the company carrying out the expansion of São Paulo Metro Line 6, the largest public-private infrastructure project under construction in Latin America, among other major infrastructure transactions.
