Partner Craig C. Martin, Chairman, Midwest, has been named to the “2022 Midwest Trailblazers” by The American Lawyer.
Craig was recognized among the foremost lawyers in the Midwest and profiled in a special supplement honoring the practitioners who are “agents of change” in the region.
“My philosophy is not that only we must practice law at the highest levels, but that how we deliver service to clients for their most important strategic, economic and reputational matters distinguishes us,” Craig told The American Lawyer. “Doing this for the most important matters requires leadership of a cohesive and diverse team, fully focused on outstanding legal work, with a deep understanding of the client’s best interests.”
The Q&A profile also highlighted Craig’s impact as one of the country’s top trial lawyers and as the leader of Willkie’s Chicago office, which has grown to more than 60 attorneys since its launch in March 2020.
He discussed how Willkie’s commitment to excellence and collegial approach to business extend beyond the Firm’s high-stakes matters, fostering a culture of civic engagement and pro bono service and a diverse, equitable and inclusive team.
