The awardees are recognized for their contributions as co-authors of the ten-volume treatise Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts, 5th Edition.
On January 13, 2021, Willkie partners Sameer Advani, Mitchell Auslander, James Dugan and Martin Seidel will be honored by the New York County Lawyers Association with the Conspicuous Service Award for their roles as co-authors of chapters in the ten-volume treatise Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts, 5th Edition, published by the NYCLA and Thomson Reuters in October 2020. Mr. Auslander and Mr. Advani authored the chapter “Litigation Avoidance and Prevention,” and Mr. Dugan and Mr. Seidel authored the chapter “Private Equity.”
Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts covers hundreds of new cases while examining the interplay between rules of procedures and substantive law, strategies for representation of plaintiff and defendant, and ramifications of various actions. Chapters include discussion of substantive law across numerous practice areas and industries, as well as practical strategic guidance, such as best practices, analysis and detailed checklists for lawyers.
