Crain’s New York Business named partner Margery Neale and counsel and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Kim Walker to its second annual “Notable Women in Law" list, which honors exceptional female attorneys in the New York City metropolitan area for their achievements in the law, professional leadership, and civic and philanthropic work. Ms. Neale and Ms. Walker are profiled in the publication’s special edition which published on December 31.

Margery Neale is a partner and Co-Chair of Willkie’s Asset Management Group. Crain’s notes she is a nationally recognized leader in the area of investment funds who counsels investment companies, investment advisers, fund sponsors and independent directors in all aspects of the fund business and regularly counsels on fund governance, regulatory compliance and a broad range of transactions involving funds and advisory organizations. Ms. Neale is also a frequent author and contributor to a range of respected publications.

Kim Walker serves as the firm’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer and Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Crain’s notes she has been a leader in the intellectual property field for more than 27 years, and as Willkie’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer works tirelessly to promote the retention and advancement of diverse and female attorneys. Through Willkie’s participation in the New York State Mentoring Program and Justice Resource Center Mentor Program, Ms. Walker also serves as a mentor to diverse junior high and high school students and foster children aging out of care.
