On May 17, Willkie was presented with the “Private Equity Team of the Year” award at the annual IFLR Americas Awards dinner in New York City. The firm was also honored with a second award for its role in advising Hudson’s Bay Company on a series of complex cross-border transactions with WeWork Companies, Rhône Capital and an affiliate of WeWork Property Advisors, a joint venture between WeWork and Rhône – which was named “Private Equity Deal of the Year.” Read Willkie’s October 24, 2017 deal announcement.
Willkie was also shortlisted for the “M&A Deal of the Year” award for its roles in each of the Alimentation Couche-Tard and Parkland Fuel Corporation/CST Brands and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions/Bradesco Seguros transactions.
