Alyxandra Vernon is an associate in the Litigation Department and Strategic Motions & Appeals practice group of Willkie Farr & Gallaher LLP in San Francisco, CA. Prior to joining the firm, Alyxandra was an associate at another law firm where she focused on complex commercial litigation and appeals. Alyxandra has experience litigating high-stakes matters at both the district court and appellate level.
Alyxandra previously served as a law clerk to Judge William A. Fletcher of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to Judge Edward J. Davila of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Experience
Alyxandra has advised on the following significant matters:
- Successfully resolved claims asserted by the Federal Trade Commission against a consumer credit reporting company in an action related to violations of the CAN-SPAM Act.
- Represented foreign bank in an action involving the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act and the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.
- Assisted with drafting an amicus brief on behalf of First Amendment scholars that was relied on in a concurrence.
