Jocelyn Sher is a partner in the Litigation Department. Jocelyn has tried multiple cases to verdict, including both jury and bench trials. Her practice focuses on the representation of entities in all aspects of the insurance industry, as well as both companies and individuals in white collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation.
Most recently, Jocelyn defended a former currency trader in a three week jury trial in the Southern District of New York on a charge of conspiring to fix prices and rig bids in the global FX market.
Jocelyn’s other trial experience includes the successful defense of national insurance brokers in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California in precedent-setting cases involving the concept of “special relationship.” Jocelyn is recognized in as a leading practitioner (40 and Under List) in the 2023 edition of Benchmark Litigation. She has also served on Law360’s 2023 Insurance Authority General Liability editorial advisory board in 2023 and 2024.
Jocelyn also maintains an active pro bono practice and is a junior advisory board member for Her Justice, a non-profit organization that provides pro bono legal services to women in need. In 2019, Jocelyn was awarded the Future Leader – Gender Diversity award by Chambers for her commitment to gender diversity and inclusion. Jocelyn plays an active role in Willkie Farr’s Professional Personnel Committee and mentoring programs.

Successful defense of national insurance brokers in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of California in precedent-setting cases involving the concept of “special relationship.”
Successful defense of $50 million professional negligence claim against insurance broker in federal court in Florida, which included collection of attorneys’ fees from plaintiff.
White collar criminal defense:

Pro bono:
