David P. Murray

David P. Murray is a partner in the Litigation Department, focusing on complex civil litigation involving communications, media and administrative law.
David has represented Comcast Corporation, NBCUniversal Media, LLC, Sprint-Nextel Corporation, tw telecom inc., and other entities in district court and appellate actions and arbitrations around the country. In addition, David has represented Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. in appellate, nationwide consumer class actions, and regulatory and product safety matters before the Department of Justice, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Department of Transportation, the United States Coast Guard, and other agencies.
David also worked on the Feist Publications team at Willkie, which successfully overturned eighty years of adverse precedent in a landmark copyright decision by the United States Supreme Court.
Chambers USA 2023 ranks David among the leading individuals practicing in the area of Telecom, Broadcast & Satellite in the District of Columbia, highlighting his strong contentious telecommunications practice and his experience with both state and local regulatory issues concerning broadband, program carriage, and spectrum matters.
