Jillian E. Merns is a partner in the Private Wealth Group. Jillian’s practice involves all aspects of estate planning and administration, with an emphasis on the development of sophisticated plans for high-net-worth individuals and their families. Jillian’s practice includes the preparation of complex wills, trust agreements and related instruments, general counseling of clients on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax matters as well as the administration of decedents’ estates and trusts. She works with many single- and multi-family offices to provide comprehensive solutions to the complex issues facing today’s wealthiest families.
Jillian is the chair of the Next Gen Trusts and Estates Group and of the Young Lawyers Division of the UJA-Federation of New York. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Alumnae Board of the Spence School, where she serves as a chair of the Planned Giving Society.
