Hugh McLaughlin is a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department. Hugh’s focus includes mergers and acquisitions (both public and private companies), shareholder activism, private equity/venture capital transactions, joint ventures and capital markets transactions. He also provides advice on general corporate and securities matters.
Experience
- Represented Karman Holdings Inc., a portfolio company of Trive Capital specializing in mission-critical systems for defense and space programs, in its $506 million initial public offering
- Advised Total Security on its merger with Pango Group, creating Point Wild, a holding company operating a portfolio of cybersecurity solutions
- Advised the Special Committee of The Westaim Corporation (TSXV: WED) in connection with the creation of an integrated insurance and asset management platform by CC Capital and The Westaim Corporation
- FFL Partners and portfolio company ProService, a leading provider of bundled HR solutions, in the sale of ProService to Silver Lake
