Shimei Li is an associate in the Corporate & Financial Services Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Paris. Shimei focuses on the development and financing of energy, infrastructure and natural resources projects.
Prior to joining Willkie, Shimei was an associate in the Energy & Infrastructure department at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and then at Asafo & Co. where she advised governments, state-owned companies and private investors in all aspects of their projects in the Sub-Saharan Africa, from the negotiation of concession agreements to all kind of transactional, commercial and regulatory activities surrounding their operations.
Admitted to the Paris Bar, Shimei graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po Paris), where she received a bachelor degree in political sciences and a master degree in Economic Law.
A native Chinese speaker, Shimei is fluent in French and English.
