Mia Guizzetti Hayes is counsel in the Communications & Media Department. Mia provides strategic advice to public and private companies and industry associations before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Executive Branch, and state agencies on matters that include wireline and wireless competition policy; the allocation and use of licensed and unlicensed spectrum; compliance with auction rules; ownership limits; and U.S. entry requirements for foreign investors and service providers. Described by the Legal 500 (2019) as a “prominent name in the practice” with a “particular focus on competition and FCC transaction review,” Mia also has significant experience representing telecommunications, media, and technology companies, their investors, and industry associations in a wide variety of FCC rulemakings and enforcement proceedings, and in the review of FCC decisions by federal courts of appeals.
