Genevieve M. DiSpirito is an associate in the Litigation Department.  Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, encompassing both civil and criminal matters in the areas of insurance, securities, antitrust, bankruptcy, and white collar criminal defense.  Genevieve has tried cases in federal and state courts, including a bench trial in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, in which she represented the estate of Lehman Brothers in a multibillion dollar case concerning residential mortgage-backed securities; and a jury trial in the Southern District of New York, in which she defended a former trader charged with criminal antitrust violations in the foreign exchange market.

Genevieve maintains an active pro bono practice.  She represents women from marginalized communities in divorce proceedings and other family law disputes.
