Michael Botfeld is an associate in the Real Estate Department in Willkie’s Los Angeles office. Michael represents private equity firms, REITs, financial institutions, real estate development companies, nonprofits and various other clients on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, preferred equity financings, mezzanine and mortgage loans, acquisitions, dispositions and leasing matters.

- Private equity group in the deployment of a fund for joint venture and preferred equity financings used in construction of new multifamily projects throughout the U.S.
- Publicly traded Japanese conglomerate in the acquisition and financing of various U.S. multifamily assets.
- Registered Investment Adviser in a mortgage loan for the purchase and redevelopment of a flagship cannabis retail store in Times Square, NY.
