Willkie recently represented Environmental Banc & Exchange, LLC, a private company focused on providing environmental mitigation banking and restoration services, in connection with its $16 million project financing from HASI NC Wetland Lender LLC.
Founded in 1997, Environmental Banc & Exchange, LLC specializes in the protection and restoration of rare, diminishing, and degraded ecosystems and resources, and is a leader in the nationwide practice of environmental mitigation banking and a leading turn-key provider of ecosystem mitigation and restoration solutions. The company is responsible for mitigation banks and client-specific projects that will restore, enhance and preserve over 100 miles of stream and over 10,000 acres of wetlands; reduce over 240 tons of nutrients; and rehabilitate and preserve over 3,800 acres of endangered species habitat.
The Willkie team was led by partners Archie Fallon and Dale Smith and included associates Annie Moody and Emily Wang.
