Willkie represented American Family Mutual Insurance Company, S.I., in connection with the initial public offering of its affiliate Bowhead Specialty Holdings Inc., a growing specialty insurance business providing casualty and professional liability insurance products. American Family Insurance is a shareholder and co-founder of Bowhead.
On May 22, Bowhead Specialty announced the pricing of its upsized initial public offering of 7,529,412 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $17.00 per share. The aggregate gross proceeds to the company from the offering were expected to be approximately $128 million.
The shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on May 23 under the symbol “BOW” and the offering closed Tuesday, May 28.
Bowhead Specialty offers products through American Family Insurance affiliates on an admitted and surplus lines basis.
