Willkie represented Standard Real Estate Investments in the acquisition of an apartment complex located in Aurora, Illinois, for a purchase price in excess of $94 million. The project consists of over 400 apartments and townhomes, a portion of which will be offered at below-market rental rates.
In connection with the acquisition, Willkie also represented Standard in negotiating the assumption of an outstanding Fannie Mae loan and joint venture agreements with The Vistria Group and A. Walker & Co.
The Willkie team was led by partner Karen Lorang and included partners David Hong, David Drewes, Melissa Fischetti and Guy Inbar, and associates Vanessa Gomez, Hannah Holmes, Chase Gorland and Devin Ralston.
