James Burbage, an associate in Willkie’s Business Reorganization & Restructuring Department, has been accepted to the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ (NCBJ) 2023 Next Generation Program.
Participants in the NextGen Program must be in practice for less than 10 years, focus on bankruptcy law, and demonstrate a commitment to the highest standards of civility, ethics, and professionalism. Moreover, participants must demonstrate a commitment to the continued educational development of bankruptcy professionals and to professional activities that will benefit the public, members of the bar, and the court system.
The NextGen Program hosts up to 50 up-and-coming bankruptcy practitioners at the NCBJ annual meeting in October. Read more about the NCBJ, an association of current and former U.S. bankruptcy judges, here.
