Willkie represented North Road Company, a global content studio founded by Peter Chernin, in the acquisition of leading Turkish film and TV producer Karga Seven Pictures.
Karga Seven Pictures was founded by Emmy-nominated producers and is based in Los Angeles with offices in Instanbul. It produces both English-language and Turkish-language films and TV programs for a global audience.
Chernin, the CEO of The Chernin Group and former President and COO of News Corp and Chairman and CEO of the Fox Group, formed North Road Company in 2022 with a focus on producing scripted and non-scripted film and TV content across the U.S. and international markets.
The Willkie team was led by partners Joe Kaczorowski and Steven Hurdle.
