Willkie advised the CMA CGM Group, a global leader in sea, land, air and logistics solutions, in its proposed acquisition of the transport and logistics operations of Bolloré Group.
CMA CGM announced on May 8 that it made an offer to acquire 100% of Bolloré Logistics for an enterprise value of €5 billion. Bolloré Group has accepted the proposal as a put option, which requires further support from employee representatives as well as regulatory approval.
The acquisition would be CMA CGM’s largest deal to date, making it a top five player in global logistics.
Willkie previously represented CMA GGM in numerous transactions, including its recent acquisitions of major terminals in the Port of New York and New Jersey and the Port of Los Angeles, and the acquisition of most of Ingram Micro’s Commerce & Lifecycle Services business.
The Willkie team was led by partners Daniel Hurstel, Gabriel Flandin and Annette Péron, and included partner Faustine Viala and associates Lafia Chaïb, Ji-Soo Kim, Hugo Kerbib, Maud Boukhris and Charles Bodreau.
