On April 3, Willkie client Platinum Equity announced the acquisition of a majority interest in Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment from affiliates of the company's founders.
Founded in 1945 by the Tarter Family, Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment is a leading manufacturer of animal gates and fencing solutions, tractor implements, planters and fire rings, and animal feeding and handling equipment.
Platinum Equity is a global investment firm founded by Tom Gores, with approximately $36 billion of assets under management and a portfolio of approximately 50 operating companies.
The Willkie team was led by partners Ray LaSoya and Joe Kaczorowski and included associates Bobby Chipman and Alexandria Ku.
