New York, NY, November 16, 2022 --- Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced the addition of IP trial attorney Aliza George Carrano as a partner based in the Washington, DC office and member of the Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments, and Technology Patent Litigation Practice. She is the sixth partner to join the Firm’s IP Department since last year, following other additions in Washington, DC, San Francisco and New York spanning IP and patent litigation as well as transactional capabilities.

Aliza’s practice focuses on patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, and appeals particularly in the areas of electronics, software, wireless communications, medical devices, financial technology, optics, and mechanical systems. Aliza has represented clients before U.S. district courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. With a background in computer science, Aliza is also a registered patent attorney and further advises clients in non-contentious patent matters, patent preparation and prosecution, intellectual property licensing, trademark and brand protection, and false advertising and claim substantiation matters. She was previously a partner at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP.
