New York, NY (October 5, 2021) --- Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that IP litigator Krista Schwartz has joined the Firm as a partner in the Intellectual Property Department. She is based in Willkie’s San Francisco office. She was previously a partner at Hogan Lovells.

Co-managing partner Benedict Hur added, “Krista is a seasoned and versatile trial lawyer and IP litigator known for her effectiveness in the courtroom and deep technical knowledge. She will be a strong addition to our team here and to Willkie’s expanding technology-focused platform in the Bay Area.”
A first-chair trial attorney focused on IP litigation, Krista represents many of the world's largest technology companies in patent, copyright, trade secret, and complex IP cases. She has tried patent, copyright, and contract cases to verdict. Her practice focuses on technologies ranging from search engines, semiconductors, cellular devices, and medical devices to electronic design automation and operating systems software. She also handles complex software copyright cases.
Krista holds several advanced technical degrees, and prior to law school, she worked for AT&T Bell Labs, where she was an inventor on more than 20 patents relating to desktop video conferencing. A top-ranked practitioner, Krista has been named a leader in her field by industry publications.
