Craig C. Martin discusses the office’s growth, key practice areas and plans for the future.
Law360 recently featured Willkie’s Chicago office in its Office Snapshot series, which profiles firm offices and their work. Chairman, Midwest Craig C. Martin spoke with Law360 about the office’s rapid growth over the past year, its key practice areas, recent litigation victories and plans for the future. Willkie’s Chicago office launched in March 2020 with six partners and now has more than 40 attorneys, including partners, counsel and associates.
Besides building out the initial group's expertise in litigation, trials, appeals, investigations, corporate governance and private wealth, the Chicago office will continue to expand Willkie's Midwest capabilities in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, restructuring and asset management, Mr. Martin noted in the article.
"We want to work on our clients' most important reputational and economic issues across the board in the areas that we practice, so in trial practice, private wealth, private equity, corporate restructuring and M&A, ultimately," he said.
