The nationwide Lawyers for Good Government program kicked off in New York City in partnership with the City Bar Justice Center.

Willkie is among the firms joining together with the Lawyers for Good Government Foundation (L4GG) to provide pro bono assistance to small business owners nationwide in navigating and securing support through the federal government’s COVID-19 stimulus package, and in filing for grants and loans available through various federal, state, and local programs. The project started in New York City in partnership with the City Bar Justice Center for businesses with 25 or less employees, with plans to roll out the program across the US. Willkie attorneys have begun to assist small businesses through this remote clinic model helping to guide them in determining what relief is available to them.

The Lawyers for Good Government Foundation is a non-profit network of more than 125,000 legal advocates with lawyers in all 50 states. The firm’s work with L4GG is highlighted in a recent American Lawyer article here.
