The first platform of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa, Kasada Capital Management intends to bridge the gap between the local hospitality market players and international investors.
Willkie has advised Kasada Capital Management on the structuring and raising of its first hotel fund, Kasada Hospitality Fund LP. Following its first closing, Kasada Hospitality Fund LP has successfully raised $500 million of commitments, $350 million of which was financed by Katara Hospitality and $150 million by Accor.
Kasada Capital Management intends to invest in 30 to 50 green field and brown field hotel projects over the next 10 years, representing 8,000 to 10,000 rooms in the capital cities and large cities of the African continent.
