Taconic Investment Partners, TH Real Estate and Squire Investments buy 140,000-sq.-ft. commercial building.
Willkie represented a family business in its sale of its interest in 817 Broadway, a 140,000-square-foot commercial building located at the corner of East 12th Street in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village. The sale marked the first time the building changed ownership in more than 60 years. Two private families owned the building as a tenancy-in-common, with Willkie serving as lead counsel for the sale.
Built in 1900, 817 Broadway was designed by architect George B. Post, who also designed the New York Stock Exchange.
The deal was handled by partner Thomas Henry and associates Carly Glover Saviano, Kathryn Crowe and Steven Grant, with assistance from counsel Peter Allman.
