Willkie client Victory Capital will acquire RS from The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America.
On December 18, Willkie client Victory Capital announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire RS Investments from The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and the investment professionals and employees of RS.
With approximately $18.9 billion under management, RS offers investment management solutions for institutional and individual investors and the advisors who serve them. Following the acquisition, RS teams will remain autonomous and continue to employ their existing investment processes.
Following the all-cash purchase, multi-boutique asset management firm Victory Capital is projected to have approximately $54 billion in assets under management and advisement and a diverse product platform that includes a broad range of mutual funds, ETFs and separately managed institutional accounts.
The Willkie deal team was led by partner David Boston and included partners Jeffrey Goldfarb, Jordan Messinger, Christopher Peters and James Silk; of counsel Martin Miller; special counsel Ajanaclair Lynch; and associates Andrew Fedder, Erin Kinney, Anne Choe, Hyejin Jennifer Kim, Santiago Assalini and Corey Casbarro.
