Germany-based WEBER-HYDRAULIK acquires U.S.-based Hyco International Inc. from U.S. financial investor Centre Partners Management LLC.

It was recently announced that effective July 22 Willkie client WEBER-HYDRAULIK, a leading international provider of customized hydraulic drive and control engineering solutions, acquired U.S.-based Hyco International Inc. from U.S. financial investor Centre Partners Management LLC. Hyco International Inc. is a global supplier of hydraulic cylinders with manufacturing locations in Canada, the United States, Brazil and Germany. With 600 employees and an annual turnover of approximately €100 million, HYCO's products are used in forestry and construction machinery, refuse handling equipment, dump trucks, oil and gas field installations and cranes, as well as mining and agricultural equipment.

Family-owned WEBER-HYDRAULIK is headquartered in Güglingen, north of Stuttgart, and has annual sales of over €200 million. The company, which has approximately 1,250 employees in several international locations, designs and produces customized hydraulic components and systems for commercial vehicles, mobile cranes, agricultural and construction machines, fork-lift trucks, utility vehicles and industrial equipment, among others. Additionally, WEBER-RESCUE SYSTEMS, which ranks highly for design, quality and reliability among all major international manufacturers of hydraulic rescue tools, has successfully positioned itself in the solar power sector, supplying hydraulic drive systems for solar power installations.

The multidisciplinary Willkie deal team, led by national partner Dr. Stefan Jörgens, included partners Gordon Caplan, E. Donald Elliott, Ian Levin and Christopher Peters; national partners Dr. Andreas Hautkappe, Rolf Hünermann, Dr. Christian Rolf and Jan Wilms; and associates Michael Brandt, Matthew Guercio, Heidi Landauer, Zachary Neil Lerner, Jennifer Long, Marco Müller, Jochen Riechwald and Dr. Stephanie Schmidt-Ehemann.
