Willkie assists e.n.o. energy in sale of wind farms in Germany and France to DIF Renewable Energy.
It was recently announced that Willkie client e.n.o. energy has sold an onshore wind farm comprising seven Vestas turbines with a total of 14 megawatts in Rhineland-Palatinate to the Dutch private equity fund DIF Renewable Energy. Additonally, e.n.o. energy has sold an onshore wind farm near Le Havre, France, comprising five Enercon turbines with a total of 10 megawatts, also to DIF Renewable Energy, which will start operation in June 2011. Based in the Baltic coastal resort of Rerik, e.n.o. energy builds, finances and manages wind turbines for the European market. DIF Renewable Energy is a private equity fund specialized in the wind and solar energy sector, as well as in other renewable energies in the European and North American markets. Willkie assisted e.n.o also in its July 2010 wind farm sale and in several other wind farm portfolio transactions in 2009.
The current deal was handled by partners Dr. Andreas Hautkappe and Eduardo Fernandez, and associates Ingo Bednarz and Nicolas Tollet.
