The unprecedented award against Casino, the giant French retailer, enforces the Baud Family’s right to sell its €500 million minority stake in Franprix and Leader Price retail chains.

The Paris office recently obtained victory before the French Arbitration Association on behalf the Baud Family, the founders of French supermarket chain Franprix and French discount retail chain Leader Price. The unprecedented award against Casino, the giant French retailer, enforces the family’s right to sell its €500 million minority stake in both chains pursuant to the terms of a put option concluded at the time Casino purchased a majority interest in both chains from TLC Beatrice International. Partner Dominique Mondoloni acted as co-counsel to the Baud Familly.
