On March 4, Willkie announced that Bruce C. Herzog joined the firm as partner in the Private Equity Practice Group in New York. Mr. Herzog, formerly a co-chair of the Private Equity Practice Group of Vinson & Elkins, is widely recognized as one of the country’s leading private equity practitioners. He has significant expertise handling complex leveraged buyouts, venture capital investments, portfolio company acquisitions, and financings and liquidity transactions. He also regularly handles fund formation projects, implements fund compensation arrangements, and advises fund principals with respect to liability issues. Mr. Herzog has particular experience working with private equity firms in the energy sector in addition to the telecommunications, diversified manufacturing and life sciences sectors.
