Global private equity firm Advent International acquires a majority stake in Sophis, a leading provider of financial services software development for capital markets.
It was recently announced that global private equity firm Advent International acquired a majority stake in Sophis, a leading provider of financial services software development for capital markets. Hervé Vinciguerra, founder and CEO of Sophis, will retain a significant stake in Sophis and take a Supervisory Board position. Mr. Vinciguerra and his co-founders reinvested a significant portion of their initial stake in the joint venture vehicle with Advent. The transaction was handled by partners Hélène Raffin (tax) and Emmanuel Scialom (corporate), special European counsel Ariane Bertrand-Parigi (tax), and associate Julie Herzog (corporate).
