eEye Digital Security raises funds in a fourth round led by Menlo Park, Calif-based Bessemer Venture Partners to continue development and expand the marketing of products focused on preventive security.

On June 3, it was announced that network protection software maker eEye Digital Security raised $15 million in a fourth round led by Menlo Park, Calif-based Bessemer Venture Partners to continue development and expand the marketing of products focused on preventive security. Willkie client and third-round lead investor Insight Venture Partners of New York also contributed to this round, which brings total investment in eEye to $30 million since it was formed in 2000. The company raised its first institutional round only after being approached by Insight, which specializes in investing in profitable companies with revenues of more than $4 million. The June 4 Daily Deal notes that partner Gordon Caplan represented Insight.
