On March 30, it was announced that SES Americom, after a heated bidding contest, will acquire Willkie client bankrupt satellite company Verestar Inc. for $24 million, pending judicial and regulatory approvals. The April 1 edition of The Daily Deal reports that Willkie partners Marc Abrams and Matthew Feldman are debtor counsel to Verestar.
