CVC Capital Partners of London announces plans to purchase Viterra Energy Services, the utility metering unit of E.ON AG, the German utility, in a deal that values Viterra at €930 million ($995 million).

On April 8, Willkie client CVC Capital Partners of London announced it will purchase Viterra Energy Services, the utility metering unit of E.ON AG, the German utility, in a deal that values Viterra at €930 million ($995 million). The deal, which is the largest M&A transaction in Germany to date this year, will net E.ON €700 million from the sale. Based in Cullingworth, England, Viterra provides electricity and water billing services to customers in 23 countries and employs approximately 3,700. The April 8 Daily Deal notes that Willkie partner Thomas Heymann, and special European Counsel Bernhard von Braunschweig and Julian Lemor provided legal advice to CVC.
